Real answers about Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace ad posting services — written by the team that does this every day. If your question isn’t here, contact us and we’ll answer it directly.

Trust & Legitimacy
Is using a Craigslist posting service legal?
Yes. Hiring someone to post Craigslist ads on your behalf is completely legal. What matters is that the ads themselves follow Craigslist’s terms of service — no spam, no duplicate posts in the same city, no prohibited categories, no misleading content. We follow those rules carefully, which is why our ads stay live.
Are Craigslist posting services scams?
Some are. The industry has a real problem with overseas operators who use bots, fake accounts, and copy-paste posting. They charge upfront, post hundreds of ads that get flagged within hours, and disappear. Legitimate services share a few things in common: U.S.-based teams, manual posting, charging only for live ads, transparent reporting, and a real address and phone number. We meet all five.
How do I know you’re a real company?
Fair question — and we’d rather you check than just trust us. We’re registered in Raleigh, North Carolina at 6800 Highline St. You can call us directly at (469) 300-1286. We’ve been doing this for over five years. Our Google reviews are public. And before any client commits, we offer to post sample ads so you can see the work yourself.
Will using a posting service get my Craigslist account banned?
It can — if the service uses bots, posts too aggressively, or violates Craigslist policies. That’s why we post manually, follow the platform’s posting frequency limits, write unique ad copy, and rotate categories appropriately. In five years of doing this, the number of client accounts we’ve gotten banned is effectively zero. We’d rather post fewer ads correctly than blast hundreds and burn your account.
How It Works
How does Craigslist ad posting work?
Craigslist allows businesses to advertise their products and services in localized city pages. Ads appear by date and keyword — newer ads show first, and the right keywords help your ad get found through search. We write your ad copy, post it manually in the correct category, target the cities you want, and rotate the posting so your ads stay near the top of search results.
What’s the difference between Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace posting?
Craigslist is a classified-ads platform with localized city pages and category-based browsing — buyers search by keyword and location. Facebook Marketplace is integrated into Facebook’s social network, with algorithm-driven feeds and built-in messaging. Craigslist works well for service businesses, rentals, and B2B. Facebook Marketplace is better for physical products and consumer goods. Most of our clients use both because they reach different buyers.
Do you write the ad copy or do I provide it?
Either way works. If you have ad copy, we’ll review it and let you know if anything needs adjusting for platform compliance. If you don’t, we write it for you based on a short conversation about your business. Most clients let us write the copy — that’s where the keyword optimization and platform-specific formatting matter.
How quickly do you start posting?
For most clients, we start posting within 48 hours of the initial agreement. We need a quick onboarding conversation first to understand your business, target cities, and goals, then we write or review the ad copy, then we go live.
Do you handle multiple cities?
Yes. Most of our clients post in multiple cities simultaneously. We can target as few as one city or scale to dozens. Each city’s ad gets adjusted for local relevance — generic ads that look the same in every city are exactly what gets flagged.
How often will my ads be posted?
That depends on your package. Some clients want one or two ads per day in a single city. Others want twenty ads per day across ten cities. We’ll recommend a posting frequency based on your industry, target cities, and goals — overposting gets accounts banned, underposting doesn’t generate enough leads.
Pricing
How much does a Craigslist posting service cost?
Pricing varies based on volume, number of cities, and whether we write the ad copy. As a rough range, plans start at around the low hundreds per month for a single-city, low-volume campaign, and scale up from there. We don’t charge setup fees. We don’t charge for ads that get flagged in the first 24 hours. Request a free quote and we’ll give you a real number based on what you actually need.
Do you charge for flagged ads?
No. If an ad gets flagged or removed within the first 24 hours, you don’t pay for that post. Most services charge per post regardless of whether it stays live. We charge per result.
Is there a contract or minimum commitment?
Most clients work with us month to month with no long contract. We offer a small discount if you commit to three or six months upfront, but it’s optional. If we’re not delivering, you should be able to leave.
Do you offer a free trial?
We offer a sample post before any commitment. We’ll write and post a small number of sample ads for free, you see the quality and the format, and then you decide whether to move forward. We don’t ask for payment information up front.
Results & Lead Generation
How many leads will I get?
That depends on your industry, your offer, your pricing relative to competitors, and how well your ads convert visitors to inquiries. We can tell you what we typically see for businesses similar to yours during the initial conversation. What we won’t do is promise a specific number — anyone who guarantees you “X leads per month” before knowing your business is making it up.
What kind of businesses get the best results?
Service businesses with local customers tend to do well: contractors, real estate agents, property managers, used car dealers, cleaning services, movers, repair services, tutors. Businesses selling physical products in specific categories (furniture, appliances, vehicles) also do well. Businesses with very high price points, niche B2B audiences, or strict regulatory compliance issues tend to do less well — we’ll tell you honestly during the consultation.
How do I know if my ads are actually generating leads?
We send simple reports showing what was posted and where. Most importantly, you’ll know because your phone will ring or your inbox will fill up. Some clients add a dedicated phone number or tracking email to their ads so they can attribute leads specifically to our work. We can help set that up.
Why aren’t my own Craigslist ads working?
Common reasons we see when clients come to us frustrated: posting the same ad too many times, posting in the wrong category, weak headlines, missing keywords, posting at the wrong time, or simply not posting often enough. The platforms reward consistency and freshness — sporadic posting rarely generates results.
Compliance & Flagging
Why do Craigslist ads get flagged?
Ads get flagged for many reasons: posting too frequently from the same account, posting the same content in multiple cities, using prohibited keywords, posting in the wrong category, competitor flagging, or general policy violations. Sometimes legitimate ads get flagged simply because Craigslist’s automated systems are aggressive. We minimize flagging by posting manually, varying the copy, following posting limits, and using legitimate accounts.
Do you use PVA (Phone Verified Accounts)?
We use legitimate Craigslist and Facebook accounts, which sometimes require phone verification. We don’t sell or share these accounts, and we don’t run client ads from accounts that have been flagged for spam in the past. The “PVA farm” approach used by some services is a major reason their ads get flagged so quickly.
Is Facebook Marketplace posting allowed for businesses?
Yes. Facebook Marketplace explicitly supports business listings, and many businesses use it as a primary channel. As with Craigslist, the rules matter — listings need to be in the correct category, accurate, and compliant with Facebook’s commerce policies. We handle that compliance for you.
What happens if my account gets flagged?
In the rare case an account gets flagged, we work with you to understand why, adjust the strategy, and if necessary, set up new posting infrastructure. This is included in the service — it’s not a separate charge.
Working With Us
What do you need from me to get started?
Three things: a brief conversation about your business and goals, the cities you want to target, and either your existing ad copy or enough information for us to write it. Most onboarding takes one phone call and a short email.
How do I communicate with your team?
By phone, email, or text — whichever you prefer. Most clients have a direct line to whoever manages their account. We answer the phone at (469) 300-1286 and respond to emails within a few hours during business days.
Can I make changes to my ads after they’re live?
Yes. If your offer changes, your pricing changes, or you want to test new copy, we’ll update the ads. There’s no extra charge for reasonable revisions.
Can I see results from other clients?
We share examples and case studies during the consultation, with permission. We don’t publish detailed client results publicly because most of our clients prefer that their advertising strategy stays private — which we respect.
